Wow this city is really struggling with the sports! We all know the Canes are on a rebuilding process that will take a couple of years. The Fins...well...we know. Now the Heat is to say the least struggling! The just broke their 15 game lossing streak with a win to Indiana and the followed it up by a loss to the Celtics (The magic beat them:wave. They have been PLAGUED by injurys and now just announced that they would be playing without Dwayne Wade tonight against the Magic because he has come down with the flu. Coincidently Ray Allen had the flu when the Heat played the Celtics last night! Also was reading up on the Celtics game because I didn't watch it and saw this quote::wave: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/ba...rVisitTeam=2&vendorHomeTeam=14&pageType=recap
no doubt the Heat and Dolphins are spiraling out of control. Having Shaq on your team these days does that. 25-30 million a year to get 10 pts and 6-7 rebounds in the 30-40 games a year he actually plays hurts a team's situation as you might imagine. and we're seeing what i've said all along now that shaq is out and that is that: Kobe 2X's > Wade, b/c without Diesel, the Heat and Wade have crumbled to pieces. The Dolphins will get more talent under Parcells, because he has an eye for talent, but Sporano is a joke, so they will be notorious under achievers until Bill quits in 3-4 years, then they will blow up and have more success (ala Wade in Dallas). The Canes seem to be on the right track with Shannon having a good recruiting class.
Thanks for the answer! I have decided this off season to learn and get into the NBA. I figured the Magic are a home team for me and I can go to the games and should support my local team. I love basketball just never been into the NBA, so I am learning and doing it through here and articles, etc. So be patient with my posts and questions but soon I will be in the swing on things!
Everyone needs a place to start. just PM if you have a question about anyone or anything and I'll help the best I can to get it cleared up for ya.
All the more reason to come back. Tiger football, baseball, womens bball, and the hornets are on fire!:laflagwav
The Dolphins will rise again. The most important phase has taken place, the cleaning house of the front office.
well luckily I don't live in Miami (at least mostly), but you are right it is time for me to start thinking about it! I agree, Parcels should improve the team. And the cleaning of the fromnt office was the first step. It just amazes me that a city that has always been pretty consistent in sports is so far back right now!
Obviously with salary caps it is cyclical, but how competent your Front Office is will determine the length of the recession. As for the Dolphins, it is bad enough that I think ex-players are sleeping in Muellervilles on the lawn of Dolphin Stadium. Saban actually had a winning record for a season which was pretty scary.
One of them got into some trouble just last week! SOmething about running off the road and wrecking his car and leaving the scene. He said he was just tired and needed to sleep before getting the police involved! Translation: I was wasted but prove it now!
I don't think the people of Miami care that much about their sports teams...They seem to be the most bandwagon fans in the country by far. OT is fine Orlando, she's got the Magic, Bucs and Jaguars nearby, UF in football and b-ball lol::lol::lol and the Devil Rays, sorry I forgot, the Rays rofl::rofl::rofl.
