That's a shame for Ciron. Was a really good performer for us and I wish him the best. Perhaps he can turn into a pretty good coach following a path similar to Ben Wilkerson.

One thing.. why do these stories say NBL? Did they not proof-read it and correct it for NFL? Journalism today..

I know Ciron Black. This couldn't have happened to a better guy. I sincerely hope that he is awarded adequate compensation, but I'm afraid that it probably won't happen.

Ciron Black was a stud. Joe Barksdale (who preceded Ciron) got drafted in the 3rd round last year and Ciron Black was (in my opinion) better than Barksdale. I mean no disrespect to Barksdale when I say that...I love Joe Barksdale, but he was no Ciron Black.

My girlfriend roomed with Ciron's girlfriend when she went to LSU, so Ciron basically lived there and I hung out with him around the time when he was a junior trying to decide upon whether or not he should go pro or come back to play for LSU. It was a tough decision for him, but he decided to stay. He had a strong relationship with Coach Miles. Unfortunately, that decision worked out well for LSU, but not for Ciron Black.

I wish him nothing but the very best.

I remember the story about Ciron and the little kid that idolized him and LSU...who had cancer. It was chronicled here at Tf and someone should find it and bump it. I'll try to do it.

Okay...if I'm reading this correctly you must be pretty damn young. I noticed you have over 7,400 posts which means you've spent a lot of time here.

Although I have no regrets and am not stuck in a mid-life crisis...I do understand how important it is to enjoy youth while you can. Even though your contributions to this site are appreciated, I (on behalf of the many senior contributors of this site) command you to step away from the computer and go sow the seeds of your youth while you still can!

If you still have the same girlfriend go enjoy yourself. It's much better than hanging out with old guys!

Want to change places for a weekend? :)
