Sorry if this is posted somewhere else but the AJC is reporting that he won't play: http://www.ajc.com/sports/uga/lsu-s-scott-likely-252841.html
That's fine, I'd hate to see him come back without proper time and care. Too much money on the line for him to risk anything. Would have loved to see him out there and we could have certainly used him but it's not worth it ultimately.
It's a shame that he can't play in it, but I wouldn't risk it all if I were him on one last game. I keep having this nagging thought that we will see him again, though
Sorry to hear this, hopefully he will be able to enjoy watching his team mates kick some PSU butt, and then be able to make it in time for the combines.
He's got a pro career ahead and he's being smart about it. No need to re-injure yourself in a meaningless bowl game when you have NFL tryouts in the spring. Losing our top three running backs is a bitch but it will just mean that Ridley, Holliday, and Shepard must step up. It's their 15 minutes. Time to shine.
I'm not even sure it was CS's decision. He is the ultimate team player and I bet he wanted to play BAD! I read an interview with Miles and he said there was no way CS was going to play unless the bone at the break wasn't as strong or stronger than the rest of the bone. This is one of the things I REALLY admire about Miles. He was more concerned with CS's future than anything he could have added to LSU's chances of winning. Not to worry. We'll beat them with SEC speed now instead of power!:geaux:
