Just read that he claims 'Bama is his favorite. Said Saban visited last week and it went well. Wonder why Tolliver, who was probably a teammate of Richard Murphy at Rayville (if I'm not mistaken), would want to go to 'Bama??? I mean, especially with LSU's success, Miles now staying and losing Doucet after this season (Byrd after next) and some young, but largely inconsistant WR's (other than Terrance Tolliver).
Bama may be his front runner now, but that could change if we go after him hard. If I'm not mistaken, we already have a few verbals at the WR position. :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:
Just remember that last week LSU and Tennessee coaches were not making visits - other coaches in the conference were making hay while they had any opening - let's see what happens after last weeks SECCG results.
He can go to Bama and be a starter from day one, plus Saban is a great recruiter...not really surprising.
I suspect that he knows that Benton will be a Tiger next year and DeAndre Brown is high on our list along with all the other great talent LSU has. LSU has not pursued him hard and that could be a good sign that Miles expects to sign the other top WRs.
He said this several months ago as well. Saban is a great recruiter & it appears that Bama is recruiting him harder than us. This could be because we don't have him high on our priority list, and if that's the case it is probably because he isn't expected to qualify, but possibly just because we have higher rated guys on the board. Or perhaps we got a little too confident in getting him & let Bama pass us. I won't be suprised whether it's LSU or Alabama, but I expect it to be LSU.
