Word on the Rivals board is that Martin may not have had a "committable offer", and that his commitment may not be accepted.
I can only find just the opposite, he's been offered but hasn't commited- other than the link posted here.
Huh....rivals doesn't have him in our commit list. Could Scout have jumped the gun? ...or is rivals just behind in posting?
Someone at scout did - the admin of the LSU Scout site has said it is not a commitment yet. Somehow someone with access to change that status (Sonny does not) got too eager - it'll give Sonny a bad rap but he didn't change it.
Everyone's saying Martin jumped the gun. A scout article quoted him as saying he was committed to LSU, but Sonny and Mike (at Rivals) both say that the coaching staff didn't accept his commitment yet. It sounds crazy but not all offers are the same, and Chris got one that he wasn't supposed to act on quite yet.
