The Saints have waived Wynne and resigned Betts. I don't really understand how that makes sense, as Wynne was the guy we kept and Betts was the guy we got rid of only three weeks ago. In Loomis I trust, but this is a bit of a head scratcher.
Wynn was really there for emergency duties and more for special teams. Now that we actually need a real running back who can run, catch passes and pass protect, we dropped Wynn and picked up the consummate professional Ladell Betts. Everyone will be pleased with what they see from him.
Willie Parker is so done. Which is amazing, since we're only 3 years removed from him being a top 5 RB. Never heard of the Gartrell kid. Saints can't play around with inexperienced players. We need a back who can pick up blitzes and be versatile. Thus, the Betts signing.
there is a chance that Chris Ivory could start on Sunday if Pierre Thomas can't go. Should be interesting.
Can't make up my mind to start him on one of my fantasy team. Its him or Ricky Williams the Fin's are playing New England.
I'd go with Ivory....but then again that could be a horrible idea. I figure he'll at least get some carries at the goal line with Pierre being hurt and all.
