For all on this board to try to convince Justin of anyone wants to come to LSU to play football over baseball is wasting ur time he will NEVER agree to that.. SORRY justin your baseball bias and blindness is just just as bad as most of the other die hard football freaks here...... Im Blessed I luv both baseball and football eqully. OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH many here only focus on JJ JL and CG many here dont even remember we took three QB in the class of 09 BB was a perfered walkon who passed on other scollys to play for the school he loves LSU

I am a little confused on that one article. I mean was he not renewed, if so can't he sign on with anyone he wants? Now if he asked LSU for a release that would be different.

I thought if they didn't renew the kid could go where ever they want.

I read one article that said Garrett asked for the release, and it was granted by Miles with the stipulation that he couldn't go to another SEC school.

I've also heard from someone close to the team that this may have been done to give ZL a little more to consider staying for.

    I suspect it's a little of both.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that is a stupid rule. How come a coach can bolt and go to another school, but a kid can't. i don't think that is fair.

He asked for a release after his scholarship was not renewed but he was given guidelines he could follow to earn his scholarship back and he choose not to go that route.

Not going to make a big difference because I am hearing he is leaning to go to a school where he can play without sitting anyway.

I don't think it's stupid at all. It would likely ruin college football if a kid could bolt at will at any time and play immediately somewhere else. The coaches would have to be more concerned with placating their superstars for fear of losing them than with actually coaching their teams.
