A big surprise considering his family ties to MSU. I hope he improves on his accuracy this year. Last year he only hit 47.8% of his receivers.
That's a good point. LSU should hire some folks for their staff who could look into things like that before offering scholarships...
I noticed the kid has good size at 6-3, 237lbs. His height is fine, but his weight is above average for a young QB in high school. I assume he has good arm strength, can anyone comment on his arm strength and passing ability? If this is the guy we wanted I'm glad he is ours.
Texas fans are thinking this gets them back in with Russell Shepard. I've hearing that they've offered him as a QB and they've got some guys transferring out. I'm..not so sure. I think they missed the boat.
Maybe with State and lefire:, but don't throw Bama into that statement. They weren't after Garrett, and if McCarron wasn't a Bama lock...we probably wouldn't have been after him (Garrett) so intensely either. Not saying Garrett isn't a good choice...like Parso said, it was either gonna be him or McCarron for a pro style QB. But considering McCarron is a Bama lock, it made the decision easier.
You'd be surprised. There are a LOT of LSU fans in Mississippi...me being one of them. We got his back.
Pretty simple IMO. Sheppard is the #1 Ranked Athletic QB in the Nation. Garrett is the #6 Ranked Pro-Style QB. Most folks would equate that to hitting a Homerun in recruiting QBs for '09. http://www.maxemfingerrecruiting.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=582&Itemid=77
