LSU and USC are his leaders, with LSU as a slight lean I think he is all LSU (and CParso concurs). Looks like it won't be until end of summer before we know.
Looking and sounding good: "With LSU it was always the great players they would produce," he said. "Plus three of my coaches played there, so they all have great things to say about them. It's a great program for defense. Glenn Dorsey is the No. 1 defensive tackle in the country and he's gonna make it in the NFL." ... Davenport's admits the in-state Tigers might have a slight edge. "It's really about the coaches at LSU," he said. "They make me feel like I'm already part of the team and I haven't even graduated from high school They were the first school to offer me last summer and they send me the most mail too. http://recruiting.scout.com/2/734673.html Says some positive things about USC but it appears LSU is in the lead.
He wants to take visits. I believe he's only visiting BC because his grandparents are Red Sox fans. I wouldn't call him an LSU lock but he clearly favors LSU.
Maybe. Silence in this case means I haven't read anything that is over the top debatable. He's clearly said that while he considers LSU and USC his top two, LSU has the edge. He's honest and that's good for everybody. I'm not willing to go along with "lock" yet, simply because he hasn't taken a visit out here and one never knows. He's a good one. Still, with his comments about the LSU coaching staff I'm willing to bet CLM will do his best to get a verbal out of him before he ever gets on a plane. :hihi:
Davenport is a lock, just like Shep was a no brainer. I dobut he ever travels east further than Houston, to see a Rockets game.
