At last glance, Florida is still on the schedule every year. I have more than a passing interest in their possible resurgence.
I support their resurgence, especially if it’s built on a house of cards that general college football overlooks (see destroy crappy teams, win accolades, struggle with solid teams).
Chipster was 46-7 at Oregon so, "usually gets sawed off", is an overstatement,.. Kelly is judged harshly and shouldn't be.
Kelly is judged on his time with the Eagles and 49ers. That shouldn't tarnish his resume as a college coach. But I don't think his approach would win big in the SEC.
UCLA seems a perfect spot for him. Florida may entice his ego, but knocking off USC regularly and dominating his old conference I would think would do the same. He would certainly have access to defensive players at Florida he never had in college before. Would he adjust his system and philosophy? You cannot do the break neck speed game as much now that he truly pioneered.
I would love for chip to take the florida job..it would be good for the SEC, to bring back the glory days when this conference dominated college football...
http://www.espn.com/college-footbal...rning-college-football-head-coach-ucla-bruins Kelly to UCLA. Nebraska just fired Riley, so Frost will probably be headed to Lincoln. UF misses on its top 2. Sounds familiar...
