Hell, one of my co-workers who is stationed out in Utah was trying to buy beer in Ohio with his bank card. The transaction was denied. He called his bank and was told the purchase was "not allowed" because he banks with The Bank of Mormon. Wow, let the Catholics try some tomfoolery like that.

They want to tell you how much salt you can eat in NYC. If they could get away with it there's no telling what they would try to do.

New York restaurants face salt ban in new health bill... causing chefs' blood pressure to soar | Mail Online
Politicians Seek Salt Ban in New York City – Indyposted
New York preps for battle against salt - Health - Diet and nutrition - msnbc.com

I have heard this on the radio and have seen it on the tv news.
I know you live in NYC and should know more about it. Why are people reporting this if it's false? Maybe you can shed some light on this story. I am really intrested in this.

is your position that someone has proposed taking the salt shakers off the tables? wouldn't it be hard to control how much salt we consume if there are salt shakers still on the table?

when you say "they", doesnt that mean plural? who are "they"? isnt it one guy, who isnt even doing what you claim? isnt it just one idiotic assemblyman who proposed something that has no support at all?

given that there would be shakers on the tables, and no one has ever pushed for them to be removed, isnt it true that you were wrong when you said: "They want to tell you how much salt you can eat". isnt it true that this law, which has one supporter and zero chance, wasnt even aimed at eaters, but at preparation, and consumers would not be restricted from eating a whole meal of nothing but salt?

I think I got it. What I heard was they, liberals in NYC government, were wanting to take salt out of resturants because of it's health problems it causes. The same show I was listening to said that they wanted to say that a person couldn't smoke in their own home if they wanted to. I may have been mis informed. I was gullible I guess. I wouldn't put it past them to try and tell you how to live. To be fair , I don't like republican politicians telling me how to live either. Take pot for instance. Why can't you grow a plant on your patio to smoke if you want to? Some counties in mississippi where I hunt doesn't sell beer. Another politician telling you how to live. I understand you must have laws to protect people but it's gotten bad. You need a permit to build a shed on your own land. You need a permit for just about everything. Too much government. My dad says that it's like we live in communist china the way they ( politicians) stay in our business.

i agree with you but we need to be more careful with the details. it was just one NY assemblyman, who is a lunatic. there are thousand of low level politicians whoa re lunatics, always proposing absurdities that amount to nothing.

New Yorkers would never tolerate no salt. Kegs and eggs is a lifestyle for some.
