speaking of this, i read today that ethanol is actually worse for the environment. so instead of using that farmland for food, we subsidize bullshit corn ethanol. and that shit isnt good for engines, i refuse to put it in my motorbike. so now i have to pay more for ethanol free, pay taxes to subsidize ethanol, which is worse for the earth and reduces arable land for food. this is true of basically every green new deal govt boondoggle.
All correct. This is a payoff to politicians in farm states and also to hurt oil and gas energy states who they know don't vote for DEMOCRATS. What erks me is a lot of those farm state politicians are Republicans.

We are the Saudi Arabia of natural gas it's everywhere yet we tie up miles and miles of land for stupid wind farms and acres and acres of land for ethanol. Both are subsidized. At the same time the DEMOCRATS try to destroy the oil and gas industry. Meanwhile Russia and China pretend to be green but exploit their coal, oil and natural gas resources. Russia and China are making fools of us and Europe with respect to energy. The Green movement and climate change movements are very very dangerous to prosperity and freedom not only here but everywhere. One little ice age and it will be disaster.
Like everything the Demonrats do, it'd about enriching themselves, their friends and control. They should let the marketplace dictate. The Repugs are almost the same but their friends are positioned better and already positioned to own the marketplace. They don't have to invent new ones. Point being Government should not be in the position of picking winners and losers. Let the marketplace decide. We do need greener technologies and to pollute less but we can do that without artificially creating markets and suppressing others. All with the taxpayer footing the bills.
