You're making more of this being about Bama than the story itself. Sure, tickets to the BCSNC has a major part in the story. However, before it made it to ESPN the video had already gone viral. It was shown on the Today show, CNN picked it up for their morning broadcast, ABC did for Good Morning America. It made the rounds through Fox News and landed on the front page of Yahoo, was featured on the Huffington Post...the list goes on. It was a Christmas story. That's it. It just so happened that the story about a son giving tickets to his father. Hell, the father was happy to get the hat the tickets were hidden inside of... If it were Notre Dame, it'd be getting the same play. If it were LSU, it would be getting the same play. It was just a good video celebrating the joy of Christmas. To make it into something else is...well, "Grinchish." Watch it. Set aside the rivalry a minute and just enjoy a holiday moment.
I'm witcha Terry. Someone has to obviously be a bubble off to hold that much hatred derived from some silly game. I guess LSU's 25 wins and 47 loss record vs. Bama has forced Big E to take it up the but once too often. You'd swear one's team affiliation would have to be considered when the army put batallions together. Only LSU fans here, Georgia here... Some people really lose perspective over sports AND hunting. Big E, did you even attend LSU? Or are you one of the masses of LSU fans who didn't even attend college?
Just think, if there is a giant sinkhole that opens up and swallows both teams and their fanbases, that kid basically killed his dad.
Really? It's a thread about the Chick-Fil-A bowl selling out but dominated with discussion about a Bama dad getting a ticket to the BCS National Championship game, dumbass.
Alas, someone gets it. If I were near I'd twist one up with ya pal. In truth, I like to try to get people to step outside of their perspective and not have tunnel vision. It ain't easy.
And I would gladly accept. As my buddy Colin on the 2nd floor of the Macullough dorms at USL used to say, "the best bud, is a shared one"
