Ah, but yet another French word: http://genealogy.about.com/library/surnames/c/bl_name-CHANDLER.htm Definition: From the Old French word 'chandelier,' this occupational surname referred to a person who made candles - and extended to chandlers who fashioned wax items that were used in church offerings, to ones who made soap, and to ship's chandlers who made and sold candles, as well as other items, to ships (in this context, chandler can also mean merchant).
Yeah. And if what is said in that article is true (Ramsey's side) then it should be the OTHER lineman getting his name tarnished--but neither of them should be getting death threats. But I don't disagree that either of them SHOULDN'T be getting off with being labled "dirty" because one of them messed up. Period. And only one of them really knows for certain if it was an honest mistake or not. And it's THOSE sort of things that get people hurt REALLY badly. Fortunately, Dorsey wasn't and over-came his injury and looks to have as bright a pro career as he did before the incident.
OK great. I stand corrected. Chandler Ramsey is named after a candle maker on board one of Her Majesty The Queen's sailboats. Very masculine.
Dude. Honestly - that's all you got? Making fun of his name? I have a guy named Marion who works for me - 6-6, 245, drags more quality tail than I've ever seen, and has the demeanor of an inside LB. My opinion? Move on.
We tried that, but all you boys kept comin' in and buggin' us..:rofl: Plus, EVERYONE knows..ladies forum = way nastier!!
You know, I haven't heard Dorsey say much about it, but I think we all know what kind of person/man he is....I don't know that he'd approve of everyone holding on to this grudge longer than he. It is football, its a contact sport that has risks..injury, paralyzation, and even death among them. People don't always do things right, or play fair, such is life, on and off the field. If he can forgive the offender...and I don't know that he has, I'm just saying, if...and knowing his character he probablly has done so..then...perhaps everyone else should follow his lead.
tirk, ..... you've heard the expression about people who live in glass houses? ... looks pretty similar to the clemson play to me .... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DkvPqUI-rQQ $%it happens .....
I'd say that's a chop block and a flag should've been thrown. I'd also say that was clearly unintentional. The fact that you have to slow it down and replay it a few times to even see it shows that it was nowhere near the set up by Ramsey and the other fella. Sorry, Caddy - but your cavalier attitude about this does nothing to improve my impression of how Auburn mishandled this situation. You should just let this go.
