oh wait, you said winning coach. Damn, so close[/quote]
Name one case please. Note no one says it is impossible (pigs could fly) but much more difficult and unlikely. Let's put it another way...would you be willing to bet all of your money (cash, savings, stocks, bonds, property etc) on the flip of a coin? You have better chances there than getting a top coach to replace a fired winner anywhere. Hell even the Gumps couldn't fire Shula till he lost.

Wow didn't know FSU was a strong or winning program then.

I would say that with 100% certainty that LSU could replace miles and maintain what he is doing now. 95% says they do even better. I'm sorry that you hold the University and the football program in such low regard that no quality coach would ever want to give it a shot. That is in fact what you are saying, well, or that les miles is just that much better than anyone else out there but surely you have not lost every last one of your marbles. Between Saban and Miles they have blown the lid off of this thing and I can guarantee you that there would be no shortage of very capable coaches lining up to take the reigns of this machine and I bet @LSUDad would back me on that.

Now you know. Never a losing season (after year 1) and top 3 most successful coaches in your lifetime.

14 straight seasons with 10 wins or more while ranked 4th or higher.

If you want to succeed you should strike out on new paths, rather than travel the worn paths of accepted success.

Who wants to coach somewhere where 80% isn't good enough? I sure as hell wouldn't.

And this year, after what 5 or 6 years, is the first one where FSU is still in the national title talk at this point in the season.

Fisher hasn't come close to 10 wins or more while ranked 4th or higher.

And for the record, yes, FSU was in decline, and yes, Bowden needed to retire. But I do hate to see a guy who earned his stripes get fired.

Did it ever occur to you that the 80% is good enough but the inability to formulate a coherent and complete sentence may not be? A quick journey down the you tube road would surely be enough for the majority to understand why he was put out to pasture.

Can you name a time when a winning coach was fired and the program improved. (And drastically-talent and coaching)

Lets try this again since my answer is correct.

    Bobby Bowden.
