Where in my post did I say that you are anyone was asking to have him fired? (Although believe it or not, such dumbasses do abound) I simply pointed out that it is comical when I read message board posters that believe they know more about football than those are being paid millions of dollars to coach it at it's very highest level.

Making money is not an indication of quality.

As far as Xs and Os, Miles isn't the top of anyone's list. Miles is v2.0 of Mack Brown.

Always has been a terrible analogy.

This post brings another question to mind for me. Regardless of contract, or how comfortable he is in Baton Rouge, you think any NFL team has come calling on Les Miles? Isn't that a gauge as to how respected a coach is?

If there were teams who did, it sure didnt make the news. Think Jerry Jones may come calling? I am sure if he wanted Les bad enough, he could spring the cash for the buyout. The only issue with that is Jerry has already had a coach like Les, in Wade Phillips. What do you think?

Actually the rumor a few years back was jones was interested. Complete bs but rumor nonetheless.

Les would be similar to wade Phillips I think. Good comparison.

Les is going nowhere even if we lose 5 games next year. Or the next year. Maybe the next.

It isn't a single loss, it is the nagging concerns that have lingered throughout Miles' tenure.

PS - Not crazy about Jimbo for HC, I was rarely impressed with his offense.

Wade Philips never won a championship and made it to 1 playoff.

My comparison would be Bob Stoops and what's sad is OU fans aren't stupid enough to want to run him out of town. LSU fans are though.

You are wrong there buddy, there are plenty and I mean plenty of people here that have had their fill of big game bob. If I didn't know any better Id swear that @red55 and yourself do the local sports radio show here at 2pm because they sound just like you guys. Btw bob has won 1 and been to what 3 or 4 nc games? lost to LSU, USC and Fl, so 1W in 4 appearances.

Wade is respected across the nfl. Les' phone is not ringing for I formation wham, offensive line coordinator or clock manager any time soon. Head coach? No gm is looking to intentionally get fired.
