I can give you a list of coaches that I think could do well at LSU, but with everything, its only a guess. An only a guess they would take the job.
I don't even need names. The question is, if the LSU job were open would there or would there not be quite an impressive list of names willing to give it a shot? I say there would and probably a few that none of us would even think would be interested. It is that good of a job imo.
LSU fans have always thought this. But coaches are funny group; they close ranks a lot, and as has been argued here--the level of interest and the level of coach interested in any job has much to do with why the previous coach left that school.
I think the problem is there aren't many proven coaches to begin with. Then to parse that list down you may be stuck with Dan Mullen. So I understand the uneasiness that is the replacing of les miles.
Coach interest is directly proportional to state of the program. Which is vying for 2nd in the west but possible top 10 program.
A fancy way to say you really like miles, we know this. This is simply not true and you are just trying to make yourself believe that it is.
You are the one swimming in the river of denial. It's not easy to replace a winning coach. I do like Miles. Sometimes, he does stupid shit; all coaches do. My mom and I used to go home from games my dad coached and question the hell out of some of his calls.
