Glad our DC didn't bring this shitstorm from his previous job, and glad we got rid of the one who is.

Yep, he is adding to his lawsuit against LSU . . .again in a Texas court even though it involves a Louisiana institution, a Louisiana state employee, and a Louisiana contract. http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/11841840-123/john-chavis-asks-for-back Now he thinks he is owed incentives that he did not get and want to be paid for unused annual leave. I don't know how incentives work but I suspect if they were paid out after Chavis resigned, then LSU owes him nothing. They are bonuses, not salary. If they were paid in December, then he may be entitled. But his unused leave is to be paid at his official salary rates ($550K), not his total compensation ($1,300K). His hourly rate is about $264 and he is claiming $115,000 in unused annual leave. That would mean that he is claiming 436 hours of annual leave when LSU Leave Guidelines state clearly that employees are limited to 300 hours of unused leave upon resignation. Every employee at LSU knows that you don't accumulate more than 300 hours of unused leave or you will lose them. Moreover he claims that he does not owe LSU the 400K buyout because he was working without a contract because LSU voided his contract by making changes after he signed it-- something he failed to mention for 3 years. Yet he demands compensation based on his contract clauses! I hope he has a good lawyer, because LSU has several.
Just trying to see what sticks and trying to make the sum as big as possible. I'd be pretty disappointed as an ATM fan.
