i predict Chavis will put up a defense that will be extremely effective until the last moments of the trial when it really matters at which time it will collapse.
I liked Chavis. Although I didn't thing he was as great a DC as his reputation, I would have been OK with him signing up for another 3 years. But the way he handled his exit was at odds with who I thought Chavis was. And it made me reevaluate my opinion of him. I'm happy to swap Chavis for Steel/O. There seems to be an extra energy that we didn't have last off season. I think its the 'O' factor.
The case involves a Louisiana University and a Louisiana coach involving a Louisiana contract. I suspect the Texas judge won't hear it and rules that it must be filed in Louisiana. Chavis hasn't earned any special consideration in Texas and the court there is as likely to be UT-biased as A&M biased.
