Uncertainty, I'm sure we'll lose a few, but with a good hire we should still have a really good class.
I don't follow recruiting hardly at all anymore. I used to be all over it a few years back. Did we lose any defensive recruits last year? Going from Chavis to Steele, I'd think if we were gonna lose defensive recruits, that would've also been a time for that to happen. Changing HCs is a much much bigger deal, obviously, but I am just wondering how it went last year with the change at DC.
Like I said in another thread, we didn't "beat" Florida, like the MSU game, we "survived" them. Their defense is just as bad as ours is, and their starting QB being suspended right before game day didn't hurt us either.
I don't remember losing any that were committed but I think a couple took us out of consideration. The hire and how early it happens makes a ton of difference.
Yet they almost lost yesterday to a nobody, and have struggled to win all the gaes they have won minus the piss game. Hmmm.
Florida just isn't as good as people think they are. Look at the East... UGA, USC, UK, and Vandy couldn't beat their own puds... UT is decent, has lost some close ones, but they're another season or 2 from owning the East, and Florida without their starting QB is terrible, they're playing with just enough offense and just enough defense to win, but good they are not. Bama will curb stomp them and walk in to the Playoffs yet again.
That's the thing. It is too early to tell, but if Wilson and Orgeron leave with Les, unless it's just a LSU lifer kid or legacy kid, what keeps them committed to LSU? You never know what can happen especially when you are talking about 17 and 18 year olds, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if we lose a bunch that we may be leading on now.
