i'm still stunned by Kiffin. He did very little in one season with the Vols to make me believe he's a serious coach. Maybe he will do better at USC, but I hope not. Anyway, I don't think Tennessee would want Chavis, but if they did, I couldn't blame him for going. It's a chance to coach his Alma Mater, a qualifiable step up from what he is now. He spent 20+ years there in various positions to boot. I hope they don't want him. Breaking in a new DC would be painful as the offense struggles to get back to efficiency
Good point. As someone stated earlier it could be a case of been there, done that. Maybe they think he is a lifetime DC.
Chavis won't be back but i wouldn't be surprised if David Cutcliffe was interviewed for the HC position.
I'm more concerned with the replacement HC bringing Chavis back as his DC. With his family and home there, I wouldn't like our chances.
