Chavis back to Tennessee as HC?

    i'm still stunned by Kiffin. He did very little in one season with the Vols to make me believe he's a serious coach. Maybe he will do better at USC, but I hope not.

    Anyway, I don't think Tennessee would want Chavis, but if they did, I couldn't blame him for going. It's a chance to coach his Alma Mater, a qualifiable step up from what he is now. He spent 20+ years there in various positions to boot.

    I hope they don't want him. Breaking in a new DC would be painful as the offense struggles to get back to efficiency

    Seems like he would've been the first one in line for the HC job when Fulmer was forced out.

    Good point. As someone stated earlier it could be a case of been there, done that. Maybe they think he is a lifetime DC.

    Chavis won't be back but i wouldn't be surprised if David Cutcliffe was interviewed for the HC position.

    I'm more concerned with the replacement HC bringing Chavis back as his DC. With his family and home there, I wouldn't like our chances.
