SportsNation Buzzmaster: I hear some Jacob Hester rumblings LSU fans.

    SportsNation Buzzmaster
    : Jacob is here!

Jeff (Michigan): Jacob, what is it like being a national champion?

SportsNation Jacob Hester : It is a great feeling, but you have to get off your high horse pretty quick and realize that you have a lot of things ahead of you. (sounds like a previous coach of his)

Jeff (Michigan): Jacob, how has your week been going?

SportsNation Jacob Hester : It has been going well, I have been playing two positions, showing coaches I can play both in the NFL.

    Peyton (Martinsville,Va):
Is Les Miles as funny around the guys as he is on TV?

SportsNation Jacob Hester : Yes he is the same guy you see on TV as he is in the locker room. (i.e., insane)

Josh ( Mobile) : Jacob where did you get your running style from i mean the if you dont move I am going to lower my head and hit you style.

    SportsNation Jacob Hester :
I actually got my running style from watching Merril Hodge of the Pittsburgh Steelers. (look for hodge to be on hesters jock 24/7 now)

Andrew (Athens, GA): Jacob, which position do you think (or are coaches telling you) that you will play in the NFL?

    SportsNation Jacob Hester :
Every coach has said that I would play dual roles as a RB and and FB, and every special team.

Joey C. (NY): How do feel for the guys that have to block Glenn Dorsey?

    SportsNation Jacob Hester :
There are not too many who can even at practice.

Thomas (Florida): Jacob, Who is your favorite player in the NFL?

SportsNation Jacob Hester : Wes Welker without a doubt. (no T.O.?)

John (Baton Rouge): Hey Jacob, from a fellow Tiger? What do you think you'll miss most about college here at LSU?

SportsNation Jacob Hester : I will definitely miss Death Valley, the fans and the tradition of the program.

SprungOnSports (Long Island) : How do you think you would do in a Chris Cooley-like H-Back role?

    SportsNation Jacob Hester :
I think I could do some of the same things, but he is a TE and and a FB, I am more of a RB and a FB.

    Nick (Detroit, MI):
what do you feel like your biggest strength is?

SportsNation Jacob Hester : I would say my toughness, and I have never missed a game in my whole life, which is something coaches look for. (ever??? are you listening LDT?)

Thomas (Florida): Jacob, When you guys beat Auburn, were you surprised about the call Les Miles made?

    SportsNation Jacob Hester :
It was actually a check off that Matt Flynn made when he saw the coverage. And I almost had a heart attack when there was one second left.

JC (New Orleans): What will it be like playing against John David Booty?

SportsNation Jacob Hester : He was my teammate and this will be the first time I play against him, so I will have braging rights if we win this game. (plus that bastard skipped my wedding, screw him)

SportsNation Buzzmaster: Thanks you so much Jacob!

SportsNation Buzzmaster: Let's see who else we got.

John (Baton Rouge): Jacob Hester is a god down here in Baton Rouge. We'll miss him next year. (yes, yes we will john)

Billy (Gonzales, La): Mel, How many LSU guys you see getting drafted? I say 5

    SportsNation Mel Kiper:
Well you obviously have Dorsey a first rounder, Ali Highsmith, Chevis Jackson are no worse than late second round guys, Craig Steltz should go in the fourth round, Zenon projects in the sixth round, Kiersten Pittman could be a seventh rounder, Early Doucet could be a second round guy, Matt Flynn could be a sixth or seventh round guy, Jacob Hester at RB/FB could be a fourth round guy. So right there you have 9 draftable guys.

    someone call kirston.

Did I miss something? Did Pittman decide to forego his medical redshirt and declare for the NFL Draft?

What is interesting about Hester's NFL future is that he will give a much larger return for a team selecting him then probably over 50% of the players picked in front of him. I would not be surprised if a team selects him in late 2nd or early 3rd round. Why? For some teams he will be a key player they need to help the players around him better. There are several teams drooling over him but keep it quite so they can nab him before anyone else gets him. It will be fun to watch who maneuvers to get him. I'm keeping my fingers crossed the Titans get Early & Jacob. Those two with VY would be huge for Tennessee's offense.
