The Army/Navy game is "old" as well, but I don't mind the media attention it gets because of the history (and even today, I'm a big fan of the Army/Navy game). I'm a fan of history so I don't mind seeing ND get it's due based on their football history (which is greater than just the Gipper and Rockne). Also, I don't get how people get so bent out of shape about it being that ND has sucked ever since the Lou Holtz era. It's not like anybody thinks the Fighting Irish are great now or anything... so who cares? And speaking of history, that new renovation that pretty much destroyed their stadium... disgrace.

This, and a few of my other reasons - Always receives recognition and praise by media, no matter how they are doing - Independent of any conference, which means they never play for a conference championship, and their schedule is whatever they want it to be - Despite having instant name recognition and drawing highly sought after recruits from across the country, they still can't manage to be some ranked opponents or win a :crystal:
