It's what discourse has devolved into these days. Anyone who disagrees with anything automatically becomes someone who "hates".
He won't make the five years. Too big a jump from backwater Louisville to Texas. Coaches are making good enough money now, at top tier schools, to say, "who needs that," when the top of the top come calling. There is no upside at Texas.
No upside? Really? I dont like texas but wow. That is a very bold statement and an even more incorrect one
I think the Texas higher ups were tired of watching a defense that simply couldn't stop anybody. Texas football is all about defense. With the talent level Texas has on defense, Strong will turn this into a top 15 defense once again.
The expectations of and requirements for the football coach at Texas are astronomical. You cannot exceed expectations. You can barely meet them. You most likely will not live up to them. I just don't see much upside there, other than $. In teaching we say, "don't set yourself up for failure." I would say that the Mr Strong has done, just that. I hope he does well, I think the universe is a bit more in balance when traditionally strong programs are strong, no pun intended.
