Hmm, and he has already accomplished more than your boy Miles has in the last few years. LSU has not been plagued by penalties, they've come in with an actual gameplan and executed, not to mention they've shown a fire that has not been seen in years, etc.

Not to mention two games two record setting performances. And yes I know they were inferior schools. If it was miles we would have won each by a field goal.

Also don't bother taint with good points like this it doesn't mix will with miles jiz

And to think all les had to do was understand the gravity of his situation. Either he did not or determined he was doing it his way come hell or high water. He went out doing it his way tap. It's time to let it go

That was my assessment for years. I think Les allowed Jimbo and Crowton to run the offense without meddling, until the Jarrett Lee debacle. Fresh off a national championship and the release of Ryan Perriloux, LSU fans were already calling for Miles' head. So he basically said I'm gonna do this my way and if I get fired I go down knowing I did it my way. And that's what happened.

Sad part about it is he would have retired here if he would have just hired a legit OC and gave them the keys without meddling.

I think this is short changing Charlie. He has never had the full support of Texas Boosters to BEGIN with. He has been there 3 years and sorry Longhorn Fans the recruiting classes have not been that stellar with exception to last year. Many of us forget his great run at Louisville (10-2 that year) with mediocre talent that whipped Florida (11-1) in the Sugar Bowl.
At the end of the day the LSU FAN base is not ready to fully support an African American Coach and Charlie is not an Offensive Guy so we really dont gain anything here. As far as recruiting we have to get better at getting 3 to 5 Stellar out of state players per year and hold down Louisiana. An offensive minded coach that runs a Flexible Pro Style Pistol system could net us a top QB prospect which we have not seen in a while here.

I'm not going to write strong off the rest of his career, but I'm not hiring him directly after the Texas failure.

The person behind THERE him won a National Title too. Not sure what that means, if anything, just a tidbit I thought I'd throw out there.

A young girl was trudging along a mountain path, trying to reach her grandmother’s house. It was bitter cold, and the wind cut like a knife. When she was within sight of her destination, she heard a rustle at her feet.

Looking down, she saw a snake. Before she could move, the snake spoke to her. He said, "I am about to die. It is too cold for me up here, and I am freezing. There is no food in these mountains, and I am starving. Please put me under your coat and take me with you."

"No," replied the girl. "I know your kind. You are a rattlesnake. If I pick you up, you will bite me, and your bite is poisonous."

"No, no," said the snake. "If you help me, you will be my best friend. I will treat you differently."

The little girl sat down on a rock for a moment to rest and think things over. She looked at the beautiful markings on the snake and had to admit that it was the most beautiful snake she had ever seen.

Suddenly, she said, "I believe you. I will save you. All living things deserve to be treated with kindness."

The little girl reached over, put the snake gently under her coat and proceeded toward her grandmother’s house.

Within a moment, she felt a sharp pain in her side. The snake had bitten her.

"How could you do this to me?" she cried. "You promised that you would not bite me, and I trusted you!"

"You knew what I was when you picked me up," hissed the snake as he slithered away.
