It's wackos like you is the reason I hate being on a forum sometimes. You take a HIGHLIGHT reel and then act like that is the whole context. The highlights aren't going to show you all the carries for losses or no yardage. LSU last or near last in rushing, now all that is not Scott's fault but he wasn't running over anyone in SEC. Context. Let me see if you just show a few plays from 2008 Lee looks the best QB that ever existed, same with Jefferson in 2009... Context. No, he is not going to run over teams in the NFL anymore then he did in the SEC. Basically what I said would happen, did happen, he was cut... now he will be signed to the practice squad by the Cards if not picked up. Cards need a backup FB. If you can't avoid at or near the line scrimmage in the NFL you are not going to get large number of carries... END OF STORY. He better to learn to block real quick he plans on staying in the NFL, his RB days are over for the most part. Sorry he isn't going to be running over anyone in the NFL, nobody does.
Wacko? In '08, he went 21 for 132 yards 6.3 avg against Auburn, 27 for 141 yards 5.2 avg against Miss. St., 21 for 144 yards 6.9 avg against Georgia, 24 for 92 yards 3.8 avg against Alabama. Of course not every carry was him plowing over someone, but he did well for the most part even against SEC talent. It's the whole reason he was drafted in the 4th round (most, like Keiland, don't even get drafted unless there is something an NFL team that knows NFL talent sees potential). I'm sure the Eagles were just as disappointed to see that his college talent didn't pan out for them. No one here is saying he will plow over people in the NFL, and no one said he spent his entire college career bowling over people. I doubt the Eagles drafted him because they thought NFL LBs would bounce off of him as soon as he got the ball. They knew what they saw in film and scouting trips, and it hasn't translated to the next level. Maybe the Eagles should hire you so you can tell them not to take certain players at certain spots in the draft. You obviously know better than their scouts.
Context buddy, go look at all the negative, 0 and 1 yard gains. Drive killers. Scott's career was done by the basically the 5th game of 08 when everyone on the planet except wacko LSU fans figured out Scott could only run from the I right over guard and center. Yes, I did know better then there scouts on at least Scott, they were going to cut him. They were WRONG.
So the Cards just basically gave away their CB that they traded for Scott. Granted, Colvin may even get cut himself, but why even go through the motions?
$5200 a week for 17 weeks, plus he gets to keep the signing bonus he got from Philly. How many of us wouldn't love to have that deal?
Explains the last minute trade for Scott. Cuts have union examining trades - The Mercury Sports: Pottstown, PA and The Tri County areas of Montgomery, Berks and Chester Counties (pottsmerc.com) Three of the four rookies involved in curiously timed trades have now been cut, prompting the NFL players’ union to continue looking into whether the deals were made to avoid paying money into a special player pool, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press on Sunday.
