I'm not sure anyone can credibly argue with this statement. Sure was nice to see Joe Addai have a great Peach Bowl.

It depends on how AB comes back but next year's RBs will be much different from this season. The only RB who played much was JV and for whatever reason he isn't the same back he was as a freshman. At least one of the incoming class has to step up and play and play well for us to be a top tier team next season. You can never have too many good RBs!!! Welcome to the LSU family Mr. Scott.

swamp JV might be out for the season also. He is coming off a acl tear also.

CParso the running game struggles had more to do with injuries to the oline then it did with the running backs. Noticed how when they were healthy(peach bowl) every back ran well. The left guard spot being so up and down really really hurt the team.

Hmmm. I don't know about that. I think it was a combination, but when we lost Broussard our running game took a huge hit. We were still good with Addai, but then once he got hobbled it just went to crap.

A great Oline (like the one that LSU fielded during the Peach Bowl) can make any back look good. But we didn't see that Oline all season, even when everyone was healthy, yet Addai was still grinding out the yards & other backs couldn't.

I'm starting to feel a lot better about Scott though. I have to say I got a little rapped up in Scott's slow speed & the hype around Keiland, but I think they will both be very good RBs here.

Scott will be good but i don't expect him to take it to the outside and break it like AB and KW can, but he can be a great back.

About the Oline, they even said so in articles that they were struggling. JA didn't do that much after helms and arnold went out.

Well then I guess we have more questions in the running game that need answering-- can AB and JV return not only in time for the start of the '06 season, but return 100% healthy and productive? AND can our replacements along the O-line (which most were playing when we had injuries along the line--which is at a time when our running game lagged a bit) gel and be as productive as what we saw in the Peach Bowl???

BB only place where we had injury was at guard and McGill played after helms and arnold got hurt. Thats when our running game started suffering. As far as the running game goes we have big questions because there is a lot of talk about JV getting a redshirt and if its true that AB had a setback then one of the freshman are gonna have to step up big time. If neither can go and AB ask for a Medical RS then I look for RJ, KW and Hester to split time at tailback and Jordan to play FB if hester plays and HB. Im not worried about the running game that much because I truely believe one of the highly touted RBs we have recruited the last 2 years will step up big time.

I believe Steve Korte is projected to be the better option at FB over Jordan, no?
