Law does not always trump common sense. If this is statutory rape with an 18 year old, then no one did anything wrong to me outside of getting caught. Now forcefully raping someone though....
Yes, he is accused of raping an adult. The media is making a bad charge even worse by calling her a teen. That was my only point--the sensationalism of the charge. Sure, she's technically a teen, but she's an adult. The headline makes it sound like he's accused of raping a child.
Do any of you realize that your girlfriend or your wife's girlfriend can accuse you and your arse will be in jail tonight, right? Doesn't have to have any truth to it whatsoever. If they can place you and her together alone you will be booked. Period. The evidence will "sort itself out"... well, if the Prosecuting Attorney isn't looking to pad his career with you it might work itself out for you. Of course you'll be broke but you'll have your liberty. Geesh!
It's clear what you're trying to say and I agree with you. Too often. They confuse rape with regret. Why is that not so if WE accuse them? As in a male accusing a female?
If Scott has money then that's what this is all about. I'm surprised Gloria Allred isn't representing the "victim".
