So is Hargrove his replacement? I thought Hargrove played pretty well against Carolina.

Hargrove has been playing in the interior line for Kendrick Clancy and Sedrick Ellis all season, but given his lack of size and his quickness, I'd think he's better suited for the end if he can adapt his technique.

We'll have to make do with what we have.

Which hasn't exactly been working here lately. Injuries have devastated the team down the stretch. What appeared to be a team of destiny seems destined to repeat history. I hope things come together and a miracle happens, but it seems nothing short of a miracle will do.:(

    Not a big loss.

Charles Grant has been a huge disappointment this year, as has been the past couple of years.

He isn't even the stout run stuffer he used to be early on in his career.

He certainly provides no pressure on the QB and is often replaced on obvious passing downs.

We can now get someone on the field who actually makes an effort.

    Can't agree.

No doubt, there were only a few games this season where he was a true difference maker. But he was definitely better than anyone sitting behind him, especially against the run. You're right about his impact on the pass rush, though. Charleston and McCray can get that job done.

They got Spicer, he was pretty good for the Jags for a long time, he is a ten year Veteran so hopefully he will work out.

I saw that, but didn't we cut him before the season? If so, should know the defense, so that's a plus. But if he could help us, why didn't he make the team in August?

I wouldn't have a problem with him being cut. I cant tell if his ability or his desire has faded, but he's not a great player and doesn't give 100% all the time. Or even most of the time.

Here's his contract status. He got $20 million up front. That's a lot of hit on the the salary cap (if a new CBA is reached) for quite a few years.
