    Lets say...
LSU beats Florida, loses to Bama.
Florida beats Bama in the SEC championship game.
Everyone else in the country has 2 losses.

Does the media keep LSU out of the MNC (vs. Florida)?
IMHO, this is the "BCS Killer" that everyone has been waiting for...

I don't think any SEC team gets in without winning the SECCG. Especially not after Holtz calls for ND to win it all.

Gary Danielson has that same scenario going down and LSU playing Florida in the national championship game.

An undefeated Auburn team didn't get in. It all depends on if we get love from the voters. A one loss LSU squad I'd hope would have a better shot than an undefeated ND team. That's my 2 cents.

Many will disagree with me, I'm sure... But if LSU doesn't win the SECCG, then I wouldn't want them in the National Championship. I've always been a big advocate of winning your conference to get in the big game, at least in the absence of a playoff. Just seems to me that's the way it should be.

Now, if it were to happen anyway of course I'd want us to win.. Especially if it meant the implosion of the BCS, but I have no reason to believe it would.

i kind of feel that way, i surely didn't think OU belonged there in 03, but if it were 2 SEC teams, i don't think i could argue with it, because everyone knows the best football is played in the SEC. This is why there needs to be a playoff, how many wildcard teams have won championships over the past 10 years in baseball, and football? quite a few right?

Yes, if LSU has only the one loss to bama, then they play an undefeated UF in the BCSCG. Not a likely scenario (everyone else with two losses or more), but it HAS happened before.

if LSU only has 1 loss to bama then there is no way Florida would be undefeated.

    I get the whole "I didn't think OU should've been there" argument...but let's look a little deeper.
    -
In this scenario, LSU has one loss...and everyone besides UF has more than one loss. That is the scenario the original poster put up. It's nothing like OU that year. LSU won't be getting destroyed 35-7 in the SECCG...like OU did in the Big 12 CG that year. LSU's loss will be to a very good team...and they will have a couple of games to redeem themselves. They will have the win over UF going for them. And again, everyone else has two losses. LSU and UF are the only two with one loss. This is a no brainer...LSU vs UF in the BCSCG.

With that said, there's about as much chance of this happening as a two loss team winning it all.
