yes tons of factors. one big one is hes going to be drafted as a position player and not a pitcher. being left handed he would be gone in the first 2 or 3 rounds for sure as a LHP. of the 6 pitchers taken in the first 10 picks today, 4 were lefties. another is if scott boras is your agent. many teams will not draft any of his high profile guys in the early rounds because its pretty impossible to sign them for a fair amount. im not sure if a hs player can sign an agent in baseball yet still play football. maybe someone else knows but i suppose no.
Didn't waziz name from Notre Dame sign with the cubs before his senior season in football? And their linebacker was fighting professionally? I guess it only translates to the same sport. So it would remove him from baseball but it seems unlikely he would put all his hopes for baseball on being drafted. He must not have an agent.
Looking good for the Tigers so far with only Furbush going in the 4th round and Cumberland going in the Supplemental. Already through 5 rounds and many of the players expected to have been picked up already have not. We might lose 2 or 3 to the draft this year. That is real good compared to Smoke.
I'd think it's hard to know JUST where they need to be, talent-wise, that you don't lose them to the draft and at the top of the level below that.
from the advocate: I guess this is why he kept dropping, no one was putting up enough money to sign him.
