Well that would be good for him, but I would rather he give a few years to LSU first so I am pulling for him to go low enough that he does not sign. He will make tons of $ eventually in one of the two sports.
Does anyone know where he is projected to go? If he doesn't get first round will it be enough $ to sign him? This year's first round is longer than normal because of the rule changes so i would think that might help LSU.
Id start paying attention around the 5th or 6th but who the hell knows. pujols went like 402nd overall or some crap. the baseball draft is pretty stupid. plus its not even what round as much as his signability. im guessing he wants a mill or so which im hoping aint happening. i think jared mitchell fell much further than expected like 10th or 12th round but wanted almost 1st round money from the twins. im pretty sure they offered 750K and he wanted a mill+ which was lucky for us. we need some luck to land jones thats for sure. follow it here: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/draft/y2007/draftcaster.jsp
Thanks Tirk. I figured it would be the million $ contract but I'm totally ignorant about the MLB draft. I have never payed any attention to it. What I have just read shows him possibly going as a 90+ selection, but I don't know how that translates into $. Guess there are a ton of factors. Sure are a ot of high schoolers going in the first round. Ton of huge pitchers.
