It's crass in the sense that's it's relatively unimportant at this stage. It's like hauling BP's Heyward before Congress to get yelled at while the oil continues to gush.
Again, stop with the political nonsense. There's a thread for that stuff. This is about Chad Jones and his recovery from the accident. If there's a question about the Giants' insurance policy (you know, the team he plays for now?) it's a hell of a lot more pertinent than your political pot-shots.
The Giants are taking care of him: Chad Jones will be flown to New York hospital today | National Football Post
Can we stop with the disrespect of a one young mans thread that was opened to wish him well and express our concern. I don't think that any of us really wants to go down this road of bickering about political opinions in the same thread others are trying to express and share concerns for Chads health. Even if the original question that brought it about was a logical one, but still not appropriate, the rest of the sidetrack conversation is a bit petty. Back to hoping that Chad is making a quick and full recovery.
better that if anyone has a problem with each other, they take it to pm and quit derailing a thread. and stop with the personal pot shots. discussion of the issue is fine. personal shots and arguments are not.

I read the article in the LSU News section that said it wasn't alcohol related. Not that Jones is a dumb kid, but that kind of reassurance is good. I hope he gets back 100% or at least as close to that as possible. I really want to see him beheading some WR's again. And soon.
The one that I read said that there was no evidence of alcohol at the scene and that they interviewed the 2 that were not hospitalized and no red flags were raised. It also said that they were not able to do a blood test because he was in surgery all day. They had not decided whether to subpoena the test results from the tests that the hospital had run pre-surgery. All in all, it does sound like alcohol was probably not involved. I sure hope so.
