see i just don't think Miles knows when hit the brakes or hit the gas. I thought the 3rd and 5 would when we were up late in the game was when we should have thought about picking up that first with a rollout pass or scramble, but he decided to run the ball with Ridley, and against ole miss of course passing instead of running with Ridley. It all worked out against Arky so i wont be too critical, but to me it seems that he just doesn't know when to be conservative and doesn't know when not to be conservative.
i think at home you play for OT (or to continue it) on the road you go for the win. that's my answer in hindsight. while watching it though, i wanted a pass on that play.
Miles/Crowton fared much better this week. I would have preferred to see us clock the ball instead of the lining up and swinging the pass to Ridley. Think we only had 20+ seconds at that point. It worked out, but I thought that was an oversight. Thankfully, Ridley was ruled out of bounds. JJ did not flinch and I was very happy to see that.
Duderino, did you see the replay of that spot? Man we caught a break on that one, Ridley's knee was down in play before the ball was out of bounds.
i think we got a lil home cookin on that out of bounds call. on the replay his knee was down before he stretched the ball out. maybe we snapped it before the booth had a chance to call down, either way i'll take it. we were due, however arky hasn't had the greatest luck with calls this year either.
Even if they review and then overturn, we'd still have time to get the team lined up and ready to snap the ball before they blow the ball ready for play and start the clock back up. Now, if they had called him in-bounds during regular game action, we'd be screwed.
