Forget about LSU for a second, though. Ark played some inspired ball in the second half. That was almost an unbelievable comeback. Especially against a good defensive team like LSU. Arkansas is going to be stupid good in the years to come. No SRs on their team this season, do they have any JRs?
Yes, when you really look back, folks sometimes forget that outside of Kentucky, maybe more recently with Arkansas joining and Florida coming into the limelight with Donovan, LSU was the yin to Kentucky's yang in SEC basketball. Those 80s years were more about what huge win Dale Brown was going to pull off versus some ok football season. In any case, I think we'll look back on this 100 year milestone and see some good times ahead. The new hoops practice facility, an upgrade in facilities and coach, and hopefully some great LSU signing classes to follow. Must have been great to watch in person for those who went. The game as well, was a nice one. You just have to admire what a will to play well and together and a good coach can do. Keep it rolling, Tigers. :geauxtige LSU IS A BASKETBALL SCHOOL. BE A PART OF THE TRENT JOHNSON ERA.
The problem with Arnsparger is that he was only at LSU for 3 years. I loved the man but you could see where someone might be coming from because the 80's did stink but the 90's is what sucked! Heck, some younger folks probably never knew he coached at LSU.
Maravich, Pettit, O'Neal and Jackson are easy picks for best 5. That 5th pick is tougher. Macklin probably deserves it because of his rebounding and his overall and enduring relationship with LSU. But John Williams was a better player.
if youre gonna actually put a team on the floor id probably add dupree or cesear, because you need a wing and a defender. you certainly wouldnt have to worry about where youre points would come from.
