    nothing anyone could do with this lack of arms and farm system. I sure hope they dont hire willie randolph or jerry manuel.

    I'll second that.

    I can't even root for this team anymore and that's sad. Been a fan since 1977.

    I didn't think ownership could be worse than when McMullen owned them. Guess we need a non-Scottish dude to step up and make the purchase. Those Scots are thrifty!

    I didn't know this-from Wikipedia John McMullen (engineer):
    "McMullen also owned the Houston Astros for a period of time, buying the team from Ford Motor Company Credit in 1979."

    Ford Motor credit owned the Astros??? Really???
