Really? You'd rather go to the Music City Bowl than the Cotton Bowl?

Oh, and how about that Orange Bowl matchup? Would anyone north of Tallahassee or west of Destin care about Florida St against Central Florida?

As a fan that's been there each time we ended up in Dallas, yes I would.

There's only one bowl that REALLY has any meaning and actually it's not a "bowl game". The rest are just for parties, gifts and shyt.

USC vs. San Jose? Sorry Vball but that's funny. I can't see USC accepting that bowl.

What if it was a Cotton against Texas or OU. I'd take Cotton, we recruit that area, and Texas is more important now that A&M is in the SEC.

How anyone would want Music City, Cap 1, Outback, or Ckn Sammich bowl more than Cotton is beyond me.

Surging Tulane can do better than the New Orleans Bowl. They are already 6-2.

Think the Trojans travel well for this one? Or just the bands parents & grandparents?

Unfortunately that offense would give our defense seizures.

If it plays out I would much rather see us play against Mich. in the Cap. 1. That would be better for us I believe.

Orlando is just 2 hours away for me...

Not trying to hijack the thread but how sweet would this be to see play out like a Sweet 16 (only downside would be I don't think we would survive the first round)

    CI Power 16 Poll – Week 2

It's not going to happen overnight, but eventually, the four-team format coming out in next year's College Football Playoff will expand to eight and then to 16 -- the money will be too great to keep it at merely four teams. As we go along, we'll rank the 16 best teams in the country each week with a main focus on the top four, for obvious reasons going into next year. As the season winds down, each voter will explain why and how they voted the way they did.

Welcome to Week 2 of the smarter poll -- at least that's what we're working towards.

Taking into account our rankings, here's how the first round in a 16-team playoff format would be set up if the season were to end right now (scroll down for the rankings and voters).

No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 16 Fresno State

No. 8 Auburn vs. No. 9 Clemson

No. 5 Baylor vs. No. 12 LSU

No. 4 Ohio State vs. No. 13 Texas A&M

No. 6 Stanford vs. No. 11 Oklahoma

No. 3 Florida State vs. No. 14 South Carolina

No. 7 Miami vs. No. 10 Missouri

No. 2 Oregon vs. No. 15 Texas Tech
