Sounds like those two players owe coach Johnson a BIG debt of gratitude. I'm not a basketball fan, but from what I read, LSU did a good job hiring the new basketball coach and is lucky to have him. I like everything I have read.
Thornton has been lights out the last few games and if he continues we should win the west and hopefully ncaa bound.
How much attention does Nick Calathes get from the media? Florida basketball hasn't gotten much love since the titles, but Calathes is an absolute stud... 17.8 ppg/6.6 apg/5.4 rpg/1.9 spg, 52% field goal percentage, 43% from beyond the arc. He's just having a ridiculous year for us.
Yeah, I'm just saying it's odd that a team fairly fresh off of 2 national championships didn't get a whole lot of air time last year or this year. Anyway, they're 17-3 right now, if it was decided today, they'd be a lock for one of the 3-4 SEC bids. Of course, they were 17-3 last year too, but the SEC is weak this year. Winning tonight would do wonders though.
There is no reason to hype Florida because the team they are playing will not bring in many viewers unless it is Tennessee or Kentucky.
