Re: Janzen Jackson With the fact that LSU is short on safeties, it is within reason to believe LSU will offer Janzen a fair shot at safety (and I hope we do, actually), and BAMA will be out of the running.
Re: Janzen Jackson Saban may have chipped away at this kid because he went from one of our most solid recruits to putting Bama even. In the end he wont get him because the home school will tip the balance.
Re: Janzen Jackson Scout has an update coming and from their conversation they said it was nothing alarming. I am not concerned because I expect him to get a lot of attention from Bama. I also talked to a close friend of his the other day and based on that conversation all I can say is that we are beyond fine.
Re: Janzen Jackson Chavis and Porter were at his school talking to his coaches today and then went for a in-home visit later that night after Saban. He liked Chavis and he really understood everything he told him about how we are going to run our defense. More bump and run with the corners isolated and less safety coverage over the top. That means more blitzes like usual for Chavis. Says LSU is solid but he wants to get out there and compare. Didn't really seem to care if he played Corner or safety according to his interview. I say the only way he does not come to LSU is if his dad takes a job somewhere.
Re: Janzen Jackson Also the fact that Nick Saban has not stopped recruiting him since he committed months ago combined with the fact that he visited him the first day he could should tell you what he thinks about him as a DB. Should be a great football player.
