I just can't see Miles handling the situation the same way, or most coaches in the SEC (with the exception of CUM). What Kiffin did to Myles would be as though Miles had Benton verbal to Auburn and make up some BS story about wanting to sign with his parents and wait until RR's LOI was in and then having him switch. Of course any coach will try to turn other schools' recruits, but the lying both to LSU and the fact that Myles was duped isn't something seen every day. If we turned a recruit at the last minute, of course we'd be cheering. But I think if the sit was handled like the UT/JJ one was, there would be a lot of bitching too (notice the unhappiness on many boards by LSU fans over the fact that Benton's offer was pulled). I think the outrage over this has much more to do with the lying than the kid going elsewhere; the initial burst of emotion over Bell died out pretty quickly, but this...no one likes being played. I'm not so much outraged as amazed that Kiffen's pissing off half the coaches in the SEC (the good ones) before he's even coached a game. Cuckoo bananas is always entertaining to watch...as will the UT/UF and UT/Bama game this year.
I'm sad for Janzen Jackson that he will now, and for quite awhile, be labeled as "dishonest". I hope JJ enjoy's the short drive down to Atlanta to see the Tigers in the SECCG.
have we heard anything definite out of the Myles camp to indicate he was lied to. I know that's the speculation but he may have known the entire time what he was doing.
I can't wait for SEC media days in Birmingham!!! ALL of the SEC coaches are going to take Mr. Kiffin outside and beat the p*ss out out of him...as well they should. yeah, I used to not have a dog in that fight, but now will watch with interest and fervor. and Florida is one of my most disliked teams, but i will be hoping they whip some azz in that game.
In the span of a month, this dumb dick-bag Kiffen has managed to make himself and Tennessee the most hated coach and team in the SEC. That takes a lot considering that the two biggest pricks in college football, Saban and Meyer are in the SEC. He has put a target on Tennessee's back and will have every team gunning for them.

Is it just me or does this whole JJ recruiting thing have the same stinch as the McKnight one did? Sure glad not to have a classless coach of questionable character here at LSU( Coach O). And Lane Kiffin would be bad to have also from what I've seen him pull. I believe UT will be looking to replace him in 3 years or less.
That's what I'm saying. I didn't like the way the kid went about it either. Showed a real lack of respect for what's been offered. But let's face it. These are 17 and 18 year old kids some of which haven't had their balls drop yet. I agree with you Geauxhon, I don't like being played either. But its part of the recruiting game unfortunately. And don't worry, Kiffin isn't doing himself any favors by immediately trying rub everyone in the SEC the wrong way. He's gonna win some battles and lose some.
