maybe he offered him a free pass to ole charlie's snack closet. hell no offensive lineman in the country could resist that temptation.
This is a terrible loss. I think the LSU defense puts a very high premium on lockdown corners, and we lost one. Our defensive style is to put the corners out on an island by themselves and blitz like crazy. We can't do this without great corners, and we just lost one. I think I'd rather keep Jackson than Randle. If we had Peterson and Jackson shutting down WRs on the corners, think of how much Chavis would have to work with elsewhere. This is a huge loss.
:geaux: It's a loss for sure, maybe not huge or terrible though. However with both the kid and his Dad lacking in the basic honesty/integrity categories by the way they played LSU, the Tigers may be better off without him in the long run. Tiger Bait! :LSU231:
Huh. To quote the edsbs blog: don't **** with Les Miles or he will burn you down and eat your dog. Hope Kiffen and co. learn that soon.
:geaux: I think it's safe to say he's (Kiffin) made an interesting first impression on Lesticles. He's also got Meyer and Saban's attention. All three of those guys will burn down your house, eat your dogs and weiny-roast your cats.:hihi: And that's for starters. Tennessee will be living in interesting times for the next several years. :LSU231:
Also learning this AM that there was some contact yesterday between Jawanza Starling and the irish staff after he signed his LOI for USC but before he got it to the fax. Which begs the question, if Charlie can get to the receiving end and eat the fax machine before the LOI arrives, does it still count?
From what I heard this kid knew he wanted to go to Tennesee for some time. IMHO his not disclosing this and waiting so sign until the day after signing day was orchestrated by Kiffin and company. What goes around comes around. In the future Miles should let any of our commitments know that if they take a visit to Tenn, their spot is open.
I ain't going to get an ulcer over Jackson. This recruiting class is so good that we lost a 5-star player and dropped from #2 to . . . #2!
Is this the extreme logical extension of the "3 hats on the table" gimmick? Or has "getting a school 'punk'd'" become the new rage?
