Wow. I think this is the biggest shock of any recruit of any team in this class. I'm really disappointed in LG and JJ here. I don't know what to say? Why string LSU along if you aren't going to stay committed? At least decommit ahead of time so we can get someone else. Just at a total loss of words. I guess his longtime relationship with Coach O and losing Peveto was huge. Why did they lie to us yesterday? Something seriously fishy **** going on here. You guys see what Coach O did here? Get use to it because Louisiana is on Tennessee recruiting map with him. They'll be recruiting it hard this year, just like Alabama was recruiting hard here. On the tail end of this class we really got lazy...lost out on a lot of recruits AND several decommit.
:geaux: His Dad said he was "all LSU" according to posts yesterday after it was reported his signing would be delayed. I don't know of anything else. :LSU231:
i am willing to bet that this was all staged, he knew he was going to tennessee, and he wanted to wait an extra day so the spotlight would be only on him, and everyone would be talking about how tennessee stole one. it worked. dumb ass kid though. what pisses me off, is the obvious fact that tennessee is going to be making a push for all of louisiana's top recruits from now on, that yaw yaw is over there, and a guy that worked with saban.
Saban and Kiffin treated CLM like a red headed step child this year. You are right better get ready Tennessee and Alabama will be in our state next year. The more players that leave for out of state schools the easier it gets. Kiffin and Saban are tearing down the walls that once kept La players in La.:angryfire
Well, LSU is going to have serious competition in the state from now on. Alabama and Tennessee will be recruiting our borders hard. LSU can't afford to lose recruits in Louisiana like Texas/Florida/USC can, they have piles of it. Louisiana is only a small pool of elite talent with no instate competition for LSU. Losing JJ is huge because we have no pure CB prospects in this class... LSU definitely will be recruiting CBs hard as a need this year.
Those guys are ace recruiters. Shula and Fulmer (who were at their respective schools then)... not so much. Face it, the SEC is just that much more competitive. There isn't a lot we can do about it.
"That was a wicked burn. I mean it had all of the elements.. you didn't see it coming, parts of it really hurt.." -Kelso We'll be fine. We'll just have to make DBs a priority next season. Is there any chance one of those stud safeties from Louisiana next year could make the move? We could literally be fine recruiting just Louisiana and Texas and going out of state for positions of need. I'm not worried in the least. We still have Claiborne and Calhoun. One of them will be a DB.
