    Re: Janzen Jackson

For those concerned about Lance Guidry being hired by Tennessee, let's put the rumor to the common sense test.

Lance Guidry publicly stated he will not arrive in Tennessee for his interview until midweek (Wednesday, most likely). He was not going to go up there at the same time as his son. I think that was done on purpose to let his son figure things out on his own regarding Tennessee.

Does it make sense that they hired him without interviewing him first?

Not saying it hasn't happened, but it certainly makes no sense.

From what I can tell from guidry, i would even speculate that it's possible even if he goes to TN, it's because Janzen made his final decision which could definitely mean LSU

I'd be shocked if hes hired. I feel good about LG and think he'll get to that level eventually but I don't think he has the credentials to get there right now. Hes going to have to prove a little more, its probably more out of respect between O and LG. Has to be low on their list unless they really want JJ, which I doubt they'd do.

    Re: Janzen Jackson

When I went to the Sulphur/Barbe game they had one student who is a good friend of Janzen's there and he said that Janzen really wants to go to another school, but feels guilty about giving his committment and then taking it back...but he is an awesome player, played both sides of the football....awesome to watch

Tahj was one of the best Ive seen in a long time too....my daughter keeps in touch with him and keeps talking LSU up and he really has LSU on his mind...

Yup, I heard that as well. Hes not going to go back on his word and screw LSU a month before NSD. It would have to take something drastic, like his dad getting hired elsewhere. LSU recruiting him at CB doesn't make him feel comfortable, he wants to play Safety. They need get in his ear and make him realize CBs are the most overpaid position in the NFL, huge difference over Safeties. Just need to sell CB is best for him, which apparently they haven't. Bama got in there because they offered him as Safety and nothing more.

    Re: Janzen Jackson

After LSU's In-home visit with Janzen he said that he did not care if he played CB or Safety. He said they loved the way he played the CB position at the July camp.

I can understand feeling more comfortable at Safety since that is where he plays in HS like we see with a lot of these HS kids but he said he trusted the coaches evaluation.
