Re: Janzen Jackson Looks like everything is still in great standing with Jackson. Info coming from a pay site, so I can't elaborate. The final verdict was LSU would have to really screw up to lose Jackson at this point.
Re: Janzen Jackson He hasn't met cooper yet either. Once he gets to know him, he'll be a Tiger. That is assuming Guidry doesn't go to Tenn. I think no matter what he says, JJ will follow him if he gets hired. He'll let his son decide and he'll probably feel a bit lost without being with his dad, who has coached him his entire life. I must say, Guidry is classy man, he coached my cousin and I can tell you from first hand experience that Tenn isn't looking at him just for his son. Great coach that is very classy. JJ is a good kid and I hope he becomes a Tiger, we really need high character guys like him on the team.
Re: Janzen Jackson Guidry has made it pretty clear that he will wait until JJ has signed before he does anything. He is taking a step back until everything is over with. Taking the approach that if Tenn really wants him...they will wait until later.
Re: Janzen Jackson Really? I still find it hard to believe his son wouldn't know where hes going. Wouldn't surprise me in the least though, LG is a good guy. Especially considering he might not get a job for waiting, Tenn might pressure him. Guess hes making it damn clear nobody will use him or his son like a pawn eh? I'll add that to the reasons I think LG is the man.
Re: Janzen Jackson I am a little confused by the timeline. Jackson changed schools from Carencro to Barbe for his senior season and didn't his father take the DB coaching job at McNeese State this past season? So if I have everything correct, Jackson was not coached by his father for the first time since 8th grade?
Re: Janzen Jackson Thats why they moved from Carencro to Lake Charles. Guidry got the job with McNeese so they had to move out that way.
Re: Janzen Jackson On 690AM in New Orleans, there was a recruiting show today that had a guest who seemed to have knowledge of the Guidry situation. The guest said that Miami(Ohio) is the most likely spot Guidry would end up. He said that the Miami coach was trying to "put the band back together." Anyone know of this connection?
Re: Janzen Jackson Yes this has been confirmed by a pay site. Janzen Jackson won't be following him up to Ohio. :thumb: The connection to Mike Haywood was not explained.
