I will try to find out anything I can, his dad is a coach at McNeese, well I have an uncle that is a coach at McNeese. So I'll give him a call.

Sounds like they could 'buy' Janzen.. by buying his dad.

It'd be a suspicious hire to say the least :wave: I think he stays at LSU.. Tenn has far to many question marks at this time.

I don't know much about Guidry's coaching abilities.

But to think they would risk the coaching of their DBs to an unknown commodity just to get one lone recruit would be silly on Tennessee's fault. If he sucks then you're stuck with him for 4 years, unless you wanna lose his son to a transfer.

What the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Jackson cleared up early is that LSU – the school he committed to last Feb. 23 – remains his school of choice.

"They're going to support me in whatever I do," Jackson said of the feedback he's received from LSU's coaches concerning his decision to start taking official visits. "Their commitment is still live with me and mine is still live with them. I kind of want to be sure and they're fine with that."

There was an in-home visit from Alabama head coach Nick Saban and once he departed Jackson was able to meet LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis for the first time since officially being named in that capacity Monday. Chavis was accompanied by LSU running backs coach Larry Porter, who returned to his home following dinner, for additional conversation to go over Chavis' plans for the Tigers defense and the utilization of the cornerback and safety in his scheme.

"I liked him a lot," Jackson said of Chavis. "They're going to play more man coverage. They're going to press more and play more bump and run with the corners."

The events of Monday helped to ease some of Jackson's fears following the struggles LSU endured defensively this season. Instead of playing for co-defensive coordinators Bradley Dale Peveto and Doug Mallory, the latter who would have been his position coach, Jackson was pleased after meeting Chavis, who also talked about the impact incoming defensive backs coach Ron Cooper of South Carolina would have on next year's secondary.

"It kind of threw things off when they started making coaching changes," Jackson said of LSU, "but I think they're getting back settled in and know everything's stable."

"I'm pretty interested," Jackson said of Alabama. "You can't help but be interested with what they're doing with the program. I had a good conversation with coach Saban. I'm just as interested in them as I am in Tennessee, but I'm still solid and set on going to LSU. That's where my mind's at."

The deadline for a decision from Jackson should come on the heels of his final visit to Alabama.

"I think after I'm finished with all of the visits I believe I'll be able to weigh which school will be best for me," Jackson said. "Right now it's LSU and it looks that way but I have to be sure."
