Well said. Maybe we can get more views like this or even a wait and see with optimism instead of chicken littles.
We haven't even stated the true eaux era and we have people bitching. I hope things go the right way and we start making the gumps our bitch every other year again. Most of us on this board sound like they are expecting eaux to fuck it up and so ready to point it out when/if it happens. I'm just sayin everyone chill out.
It's simply the observation things seem to be headed the wrong direction. If you don't think so, great. Quit freaking out about it and chill.
I for one do not wish for Oeaux to fail and will never point it out or say "I told you so" IF it were to happen. I think he deserves another chance and hope for success. I hope to see very shortly things start falling in place and LSU moving in the right direction. As that happens I will feel better and have more trust in the staff. Saban, Les, and every other coach had to do that and I will hold Oeaux to the same standard. I sat through 3-7 seasons and certainly don't want to go through that again before we deside to make a change. LSU football has been fun the last decade and I would like to see that trend continue with the exception of, as you say, " making Bama our bitch".
What's heading in the wrong direction? Miles, Cam and Peveto are gone. Aranda is staying and we'll probably end up with a pretty good OC. Recruiting, despite some recent losses is still excellent. Especially with a coaching change and an incomplete staff. Did the NCAA deliver a crystal football to LSU the day O was hired? Well no, but you might want to let him put togethet a staff and play a game before you start binge eating anti depressants.
