MY PLAYOFF SYSTEM Finish all 11 games by November 30th, which includes conf championship game. All conference champs (current BCS & Non-BCS) play 1st weekend of december. Pairings would be done by some type of ranking. Higher seed would host each game at their home field. Quarter finals play and higher seed host. Semi finals higher seed host. Two weeks off for school test, player resting, bowl games we normally have for those knocked out of playoff. Final NC on neutral site as rotated between BCS bowls. All schools have a shot to getting in the big game, i.e. Hawaii, ULM, Tulane, etc. The schools make money by playing the extra game(s) and still go to a bowl. All schools making it in would benefit from recruiting by national exposure!
Even funnier than Carville (I agree with him on the BCS, but, my God, he's arrogant!) is listening to Jerome Solomon in the next clip defending it. Making the point that a playoff won't crown a true champion, because not all 16 teams would be worthy of being the champion, and an unworthy team might get hot and win it all. Last I recall, the NCAA Basketball Tournament invites 65 teams. Does anyone believe all 65 are "championship worthy?" And does anyone ever question whether the winner deserved to be the champion?
Well if you watched the game, you would agree with him. I believed it to be a Big East conspiracy to make sure their team got to the national title game. I did not make the jump to it being a conspiracy at the BCS level, although it does make sense as well. It was the same official for all 3 horrendous calls. I agreed with everything Mr Carville had to say. Pretty funny when he referred to the Big 10 as "that stinkin' conference"
