Anyone still under a cloud by game day will likely not play for the very reason you gave. What a shame. I was looking to the NC game as a real test for our offense to see what we have. And try not to be too tough on Butch. I know he is the head man and the buck stops with him, but from what I gathered the infractions were not based on anything he did or did not do. I have always considered him a class act.
I wish the NCAA would keep its attract dogs focused on the POS programs out there. USC, Texas, Bama, ND, tOSU
The only weakness in our defense before all this was maybe the height at cb. Both corners rite under 6'0 sometimes opens up taller throws for the opposition. However we had 4 seniors in the secondary starting. CB Kendric Burney and FS Deunta Williams are top 10 nationally at their position. Remember last year we led the country in interception return yards and tallied 19 picks. Everyone came back
Yes, yes they will.:thumb: It's all good though, because at the end of the day, at the end of the season we all know that unless the Tigers go 14 - 0 with the O scoring no less than 45 pt/game and the D only giving up 6 pts/game they will still have something to complain about.
I can hear it already ..."Why do we commit so many penalties? Why does Mile allow the players to celebrate Did you see the picture of him looking the other way when we scored a touchdown?!?! He has GOT to go!"
I also have similar feelings towards UNC. Dean Smith was so incredibly admirable, I always pulled for them in basketball(until Roy moved in... grrrr). But I think the main reason that everyone has an "aw shucks" attitude toward UNC is because they have such a non-threatening color in their baby blue uniforms. Just looking at that uniform makes you think: "Look how cute the little boys are in their cute little baby blue uniforms... so non-threatening. They wouldn't hurt a mouse. I just want to pinch their little cheeks." I am exaggerating a wee bit, but I think there is some truth to that.
