Cincinnati Bengal QB Carlson Palmer went off on Ohio State and will probably alienate many of his own fans after slamming the Buckeyes. I knew Matt Lienart was an idiot but didn't realize Palmer was another USC jackass. He said he can't wait for them to come get "an old fashioned Pac 10 butt-whipping". He sounds like another Trojan living in fantasyland. USC has a great program but he's dreaming if he thinks the Pac-1 is anything more than USC. Now I remember why I hated living in California...just a bunch of pompous, arrogant, ass***** I'll be pulling for the Buckeyes!!!
NO, not at all. He should be proud of his school and defend them but he also needs to realize he's the leader of a NFL organization based in the state of Ohio. Most Bengal fans are probably also Buckeye fans so you should choose your words carefully. You can still pull for your team without trying to insult your own fans who happen to pay your salary. It's just stupid and something I would've expected from Lienart...not Palmer.
Agree. If this was Michael Clayton talking about how he hoped LSU would put a beatdown on Florida, we'd all be applauding him. I like that Palmer still has some pride for his school-even if it is USC. Bengal fans will get over it.
LeBron James wears a Yankees hat to Indians games. If Bengals fans are dumb enough to not know who Palmer is cheering for, then that is their problem. I would be willing to bet the comments were made in fun.

Was probably said more tongue-in-cheek then the quote looks. I'm sure he was just laughing and made the comment in jest. Some people take this stuff to seriously... I don't see a problem with him calling out Ohio State, he's not in Cincy to kiss ass, he's there to win games.
