Anyone notice an increase? Mine went up about 25 bucks and they said it was because of some Louisiana state law.
I tell people all the time, every two to three years, shop around. If you find a better deal, call the company and get them to help you, with the threat of moving your business elsewhere. Make sure you're comparing apples to apples. Best of luck.
My Allstate homeowners has gone up at a rate that is alarming, despite the $5,000 "named storm deductible" that they put on it. My car insurance has gone up very slowly. Of course, I've been with State Farm since 1968 without a single charged accident.
Cost of building; therefore, replacing, has gone through the rough. Shyt about it is there is a percentage you must carry for replacing contents, based on the total amount. That's where they get you. Speaking of insurance. Wife got rear-ended last weekend on 210 loop in LC. Traffic slowed up to stop so she stops. Car hits her then another car hit the one that hit her, hitting her a second time. Bitch that hit her doeosn't have insurance. We have unisured motorist but I JUST raised my deductible to 2K. Damage will be around 10K so it could be worse but pissing off to drop 2K in an accident we have no fault.
I've been with State Farm since 1987. I went 10 years without a ticket or accident so they gave me "guaranteed renewability". Basically, as long as I pay my premium and don't get a DWI, they can't cancel me. My first at-fault accident in any 3 year period is "free", after that, the most they can raise my premium is 10% per chargeable accident. I'll be with them for life.
Yeah, a few years ago after a hail storm I had like a 5K deductible for my roof, I was like wtf right? Ins agent says yes sir, your home is insured for 500k and I was like, uh, my house isn't worth 500k, Where in the hell did you get that number. End result, that was cost to completely demolish, haul off and rebuild what I have. They wouldn't budge on the number even though they were wrong. You need a lawyer
Hwy 14. High school softball team was playing in Sulphur and the team decided to end the night with sushi. Dam kids today- we would've been esctatic for a McDonalds kids meal. I was told there were 3 wrecks about the same time. One on I-10. It was last Frid.
